A Centre of Excellence...

Not every breed of dog can be groomed in the same way. Different breeds have different needs and here at Woof n Wash, our friendly staff are qualified in grooming all breeds, from the most common, to the rarest.

Choose your breed below to find the best grooming methods and grooming schedules for your dogs breed.

Because we cannot list every breed, in addition to the breeds listed below, we also groom lots of others, so if your dog's breed is not listed, just call us to find out more.

We are enthusiastic about our work and always happy to help our Clients in whatever way we can.

Dog Grooming Terriers

Tearaway Terriers...

Terriers...

Airedale Terrier, Lakeland Terrier and Welsh Terrier

The Terrier has a harsh wire top coat and a soft undercoat. For the majority of the breed who are kept as pets, the Airedale, Lakeland and Welsh Terrier can be clipped into the traditional style, however, to maintain the texture and colour for the show ring, the coat should be hand stripped.

Recommended time between trims: 12 weeks

Belington Terrier

The Belington Terrier has a wool coat that requires specific drying and trimming. The head is scissored into a pear shape, the ears trimmed to create a diamond shape tassel at the end of each ear and the tail is clipped close to give a rats tail appearance.

Recommended time between trims: 8 weeks

Cairn, Scottish, West Highland and Sealyham Terriers

The Cairn Terrier has a wire coat and therefore should be hand stripped into the breed standard style in order to maintain texture and colour for the show ring. Alternatively the coat can be scissored/ clipped to into the required style.

Recommended time between trims: 8 - 12 weeks
